Doug
Falk (or Dug Falk for the homophonically advanced) originates from St.
Louis, Missouri, but calls Houston, Texas home. A
banal childhood somehow spawned an erratic streak in his teenage years,
which gave way to a downright eccentric adulthood. Mr. Falk plays
trumpet, flugelhorn, mellophone, piano, and double bass at
understandably varied levels. Mr. Falk graduated cum laude with College
Honors from Knox College in 2004. His senior honors project was a
musical adaptation of six of Aesop's Fables set for six solo singers
and mixed octet. He currently works at Rice University, composes music,
and plays with numerous ensembles in the Houston area including The
Cory Wilson Group, the Free Radicals, Lance and the Pants, and Ike
Can't Stop This Feeling.
